Strengthening the Security Organization at AAU

To ensure a robust and effective security organization, AAU established a new cross-cutting unit as of 1 September 2025. This unit has overall responsibility for the development, implementation, and maintenance of both strategic and operational security measures.

The unit works closely with colleagues in emergency preparedness, physical security, IT security, and research security to ensure a holistic approach to security across the university.

The unit is located within Campus Service and reports directly to the Campus Director, underscoring its central role in AAU’s security strategy.
