Buildings & Maintenance

The Buildings & Maintenance department is responsible for the development, operation, and maintenance of Aalborg University's building portfolio, which the university rents from both the Danish Building and Property Agency (BYGST) and private landlords.

The department works to ensure functional and safe physical environments for the university's students and staff, including the maintenance of both internal installations and the external condition of buildings, depending on ownership. 

The department also plays a central role in optimizing indoor climate, energy consumption, and the study environment across campuses in Aalborg, Esbjerg, and Copenhagen.

The department is led by Alex Røge Hermansen and is divided into three teams:

  • Building Maintenance
