Security Across the University

AAU Safety & Emergency Management is a cross-functional staff unit within Campus Service responsible for developing, coordinating, and supporting the university’s work on safety and emergency preparedness. The unit works both strategically and operationally to strengthen security and ensure effective emergency preparedness across Aalborg University. 

The unit collaborates closely with colleagues working in emergency management, physical security, IT security, and research security to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to safety. Its responsibilities include developing policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, coordinating security initiatives, and providing advice and support to university departments and units.

As part of Campus Service and reporting directly to the Campus Director, AAU Safety & Emergency Management plays a central role in creating safe and resilient conditions for research, teaching, and campus life at Aalborg University.
